Filmed in the beautiful countryside of Middle Tennessee, Charlie's War is a story based on the childhood memories of screenwriter, Christy Viviano. In the film, a successful writer, Charlotte Lewis, is troubled by recurring nightmares set in her childhood. Trying to understand the meaning of these dreams, she sets out on a journey into the past to retrieve the elusive memories of the time when she lived on her grandmother's farm during World War II. ![]() David Abbott, Director; Christy Viviano, Screenwriter; Louis B. The film premiered on seven sold out screens at the Nashville Film Festival. Included among attendees were several special guests, including cast member Vernon Winfrey's daughter, Oprah.
